 5 seater version on the way After relentlessly marketing the Passat as a ‘coupe’, Volkswagen has been pretty successful in making their mark in this segment with the model. Of course, being naturally a ‘coupe’ means that it is seldom the case where you can sit 5 people comfortably. The Passat has, over the years been known mostly as a four seater instead of 5 and the people at Volkswagen has since announced that a 5 seater version is set to be launched.
One thing for sure, the Passat CC is one car which will surely go down very well being a 5 seater instead of the current 2 rear seats at the back. VW will offer the 3 seater rear seats as optional while the car still comes with its standard 2 seater at the back. This will put the buyer off with an additional €100, not bad for an additional seat really. This option might or might not make it here but surely it will be something to look forward to if it does, after all, at more than RM200k for the Passat, surely an additional space would be very much welcomed.
