Are you considering buying a Proton anytime soon? If you are, then you could be the lucky ones to stand a chance to win up to RM50,000 in a contest launched by Proton Edar. The contest is called ‘Proton Edar Drive For Cash’ where car buyers are enticed to purchase a Proton car and then stand a chance to win the weekly prizes and then be eligible to win the grand prize as well.
The contest is set to run for 2 months from 1 July to 31 August 2009. All you need to do is to purchase or book a Proton car and you will be eligible to join the contest. You will then be required to answer a few questions and then complete a slogan. You will have to write your slogan that starts with “I prefer a PROTON because…” in not more than 20 words.
A panel of judges comprising of Proton Edar Sdn Bhd’s selection will choose the entries based on the correct answers as well as the most creative slogan. Once you are selected, then you are one step closer to the grand prize of RM50,000. But before getting there, you could be either the weekly or monthly winners as well.
There will be weekly as well as the grand prize winners which will be selected based on your entries. Every week, 30 entries will be selected and will have a go at the grand prize of RM50,000 in cash prize. Out of the 30 entries selected, 17 will be the weekly winners. Together with the other 13, you will be all be part of the pool who could walk away with the grand prize.
If you are one of the 17 selected every week, you might one of the 2 winners to walk away with RM5,000 in cash. Otherwise you will win the Proton GPS navigation unit. If you are not the 17 selected, then don’t worry the remaining 13 entries will form part of the monthly pool winners who will stand a chance to win RM20,000. At an average of 4 weeks in a month, you become one of the 52 who is eligible to win the monthly cash prize. You would not need to worry if you do not win anything as yet as the selected entries will then be part of the grand pool where you stand a chance to win RM50,000. That means at least half of your car has been paid for if you win this prize. The grand prize will be awarded at the end of the contest period which is on the 31 August 2009.
