• Hyundai and Brabus shows their collaboration with the i20 Sport Edition

The i20 if one could recall dates back to 2008 when it was introduced at the same show and now, 2 years later in the same platform they have given it a new personality where the collaboration with Brabus created the i20 Sport Edition. Early reviews showed that most of the significant changes are in its looks where they are given more aggressive looking front skirts as well as makeovers on the wheel arches as well. Then the 17 inch Brabus alloy wheels are fitted to wrap around the Yokohama tyres.

They have also put in the black bezel to engulf the headlamps while LED daylight running strips are also fitted in. Well, perhaps the orange and blue dynamics on the interior might take a while to get used to, but the contrast surely is refreshing. Otherwise, look beyond that and you will like its leather-lined surfaces around the car, the Recaro seats and a nice and perfectly fitted 7 inch touchscreeen monitor.

The i20 is produced through the company’s Russelsheim R&D center in Germany and this is where you will also get the new fittings like the smoked windows, the dark red tinted rear lights as well as a black leather gearshift covers (and of course, orange-coloured seams). Apart from that, they have also put in leather covered door panels and a chrome gear shift knob too. Now that is just plain cool. They have yet to make official announcements on what the power of the engine is going to be or the gearbox but according to Hyundai, customers would be able to choose between the 3 or 5 door models. Apart from that, it will also be a limited production model which will start sometime in the first half of 2011 and will roll out through the manufacturing plants in India and Turkey which pretty much state their intent of launching in the Asian and European markets.

{mosimage}

{mosimage}

{mosimage}

{mosimage}

{mosimage}

{mosimage}

{mosimage}

{mosimage}

{mosimage}
