New Polo Golf GTI launched in Malaysia |

Volkswagen Group Malaysia, the local VW distributor recently launched the new Volkswagen Polo GTI in the country. Aimed to compete with the Fiat Bravo GT, the version brought in is the standard 5 door model. Priced at RM139,960, the car comes standard with 16 inch wrapped with 205/45R16 tyres, which gives it a very sporty look.
Its 5 valve per cylinder, 1.8 1.8 liter 20 valve turbocharged inline-4 engine is fitted to a 5 speed manual gearbox. This concept is used mainly in most Volkswagen and Audi cars. Sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds, the car comes standard producing 150 horsepower at 5,800rpm and a 220Nm of torque peaking at a low 1,950rpm.
Like most continental cars, the Polo GTI comes equipped with safety accessories like ESP Stability Control, TCS Traction Control, EDL ( Electronic Differential Lock) and ABS with 4 airbags on the front and the sides. |
