After successfully launching the Naza Forza in Thailand, local car manufacturer Naza Corporation will increase their production of the new model. During its launch in Thailand under the purview of Yontrakit Motor Sales, the figures have been highly promising, garnering more than 500 orders for the hatchback model. It is sold there for 349,000 Thai Baht which is equivalent to about RM35,000.
The Forza was revealed during the 10 day Thai Motor Show and its official importer has reverted to Naza Corporation to start increasing production as demands are surging in the highly competitive Thai market. Simultaneously, Naza Corporation is also currently exporting the model to other parts of the region including Bangladesh, Nepal and Singapore. The total of export sales contribute to 30% of the mentioned model sales. They are now in talks with other countries like Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Indonesia of the possibility of exporting there.
The Chief Executive Officer of Naza Corporation SM Nasarudin Tan Sri Dato' Seri Utama SM Nasimuddin has since voiced his amazement of how well his products are performing and demanded in other countries stating that "Our company's objective to offer the Naza Forza as an affordable mode of transport to ASEAN countries. Also of equal importance is the development of strong after-sales support which will add to the attraction of the Forza,"
At the local front, although slower than other countries, the sales are growing where the Forza and the 206 Bestari are experiencing ever since the promotions started and has iterated that even with the increasing demand from neighbours Thailand and Singapore, they would still be able to cater for the local market. |
