If anyone of us would like to buy used car, it is better to get a car with
service record by manufacturer and tally the record with the mileage.

FORD FOCUS S 2.0 (A) H/Back, DOHC 'Duratec' 16 Valve, (Nov 2005). Met
black, 1 owner high-spec Shiftronic, 2x SRS, ABS, 'Brand comp', CD,
leather, 'Dual zone climate a/c', spoiler, alarm & immobilizer. Hardly
used! Done 6,988KM'. Acc free! Under warranty!

Above is one of the advertisement I extracted from The Star Classified.
Do you think the mileage is genuine? There are a couple of things I
noticed from this dealer:

1) They always have cars with low mileage
2) The current reading is always showing nice number like "**988,
**398, "*968" and etc.

Example #1
MIT AIRTREK 2.0L (A) Turbo-R 250HP 2003 CBU, Limited Edition! (Wxx 666) 1
VVIP owner. Done: 68,228KM. Met Black. Turbo intercooler! Boost meter!
Sony CD, Turbo Timer! Apexi exhaust system! 18' Alloy rims, elec
sunroof+moonroof, 2x SRS, ABS, roofrack, spoiler, etc. Acc free. Like New!

Example #2
HONDA ACCORD 2.4L (A) DOHC I-Vtec, Sept 2004. 1 VIP owner, (Wxx 821).
High-specs 2x SRS, ABS, Auto cruise, Xenon, Alloy rims, leather, V-Kool,

Yes, all newer model car's with digital speed meter can be tempered
..as i just did it on my volvo recently as my speedo meter kaput and
brought a used unit with very low mileage so call help to my used car
dealer friend and get this guy that specialist in meter adjusment (
according to him, 90% used car dealers and authorised dealers in
town are his customer with all kinds of reason ) ...this guy are really
in low profile of his business ( even the phone call are picked up by
his wife ) came in Toyota Unser with a laptop and screewdriver's and
before his arrive his had ask us to stay far away about 100meter from
the car and disallow to witness the process and his real face ...after
15min, his sms said "done" and money (rm150 ) paid through my
friend to him.....so guys, never trues to used car dealers and even
those pre-owned units from authorised dealer !

p/s : knowing from my friend, this guys are millionaire as his daily
appointment with used /authorised car dealer are pack and his had
brought the E49 M3 with cash.... and sold it off with higher profit...
